July 6, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan will retain its status as the region's energy hub in the coming decades.

Giovanni Cristofoli, BP's Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, said this at the opening of the 20th Baku Summer Energy School, organized by the Institute of Development and Diplomacy at ADA University.

According to Cristofoli, the country has all the key advantages for this purpose.

"This is facilitated by rich hydrocarbon reserves, developed infrastructure - pipelines, terminals and platforms, successful experience of cooperation, highly qualified personnel, as well as a favorable environment for doing business and introducing innovations," he said.

Kristofoli also noted that BP is proud of its 30-year partnership with Azerbaijan and intends to continue cooperation not only in the oil and gas sector, but also in the development of human capital, education, culture and social programs, including support for the ADA University.
