June 22, Fineko/abc.az. State Program "On the development of production and processing of agricultural, fishing and aquaculture products for 2026-2030" is aimed at agriculture based on high added value.

ABC.AZ reports that Khalid Akhadov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan for Socio-economic Affairs, said this at a regional meeting on the Shirvan-Salyan economic region within the above-said state program.

According to Akhadov, the program defines specific goals: "Expanding the areas where modern irrigation systems are used, increasing the yield of wheat and cotton in specialized areas, increasing the number of intensive orchards and greenhouse complexes, expanding the capabilities of cold storage and grain storage facilities, improving the breeding stock in livestock, increasing the production of poultry meat, milk, beef, mutton and eggs, as well as increasing production in the field of aquaculture are the main priorities."
