April 4, Fineko/abc.az. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation received a notification from Louis Dreyfus Vostok Company, the Russian "daughter" of the world's largest trader Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), on the termination of grain exports from the Russian Federation from 1 July.
ABC.AZ reports that the Russian Ministry of Agriculture stressed that the departure of foreign grain traders will not affect Russian food exports.
"Currently, the company is exploring the possibility of transferring the existing Russian business and grain assets to new owners," the MoA press service informs.
Louis Dreyfus owns a terminal on the Sea of Azov.
At the end of March, it became known about the decision of two other international traders - Viterra and Cargill - to reduce business in Russia. Viterra may sell its stake in the Taman terminal, which it owns jointly with Demeter Holding, the Viterra Rus subsidiary and the Rostov-on-Don terminal may be transferred to management.
