March 10, Fineko/abc.az. The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund has approved the allocation of emergency financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $1.4 bn, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the IMF statement.

The finances will help finance priority expenditures of the State Budget and support the balance of payments of Ukraine.

"The IMF Executive Board endrosed today the allocation of $1.4 bn to help meet emergency financial needs and offset the economic consequences of the war," the IMF statement says.

"The Executive Board expressed strong support for the Ukrainian people," the IMF added.
