October 16, Fineko/abc.az. The climate change has the main destructive impact in the oil & gas industry.
ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by chief representative of France’s Total in Azerbaijan Denis Le Marcel at the Caspian Technical Conference in Baku.
Touching the theme of the oil & gas industry, French company’s rep points out that in the next 10 years the sector will develop further: "We must develop this industry, doing everything in our power. Climate change, of course, does not pass without affecting the oil & gas industry. And we urge to be more sensitive in this sense. We live in the era of artificial intelligence, and robots eliminate factors that are dangerous to human life, engaging in operations, technical work in this area. On the one hand, it reduces costs. In Total we’ll have a project called "Digital Factory". Due to this tool, it will be possible to develop digital technology. We’re aware of the benefits of this project and we are focused on its application. Artificial intelligence is already widely used in repair and restoration work. Total aims to make more use of artificial intelligence for full processing of geological work."
