September 24, Fineko/abc.az. As a whole, 1.115 billion manats of insurance premiums were collected through insurance companies in Azerbaijan for Jan-Aug 2026.

The overall insurance premiums increased by 6.4% versus Jan-Aug 2025, according to the Central Bank.

Of the collected premiums, 639.4 million manats accounted for types of life insurance (7.7% more than a year ago).

In the life insurance segment, 597.3 million manats were gathered for voluntary life insurance and 42.1 million manats for compulsory life insurance.

The premiums for non-life insurance types increased by 4.8% up to 476 million manats, including 304.6 million manats accounted for voluntary types of insurance and 171.4 million manats for compulsory types of insurance.
