September 24, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2026, Azerbaijan's motor vehicle insurance companies gathered a total of 183.6 million manats of premiums.

According to CBA’s report, this figure was a 9.3% increase versus Jan-Aug 2025. Of the premiums, 131.2 million manats accounted for compulsory motor vehicle insurance and 52.4 million manats for voluntary motor vehicle insurance.

There was also noticeable growth on car insurance payments for Jan-Aug 2026. Thus, for the past 8 months of this year, the insurers paid a total of 130.3 million manats of insurance payments to customers (21.2% more than a year earlier), including 104.8 million manats paid for compulsory insurance and 25.5 million manats for voluntary insurance.
