September 24, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2026, Azerbaijani insurance companies made compensation payments to customers for totally 773.2 million manats.

According to Central Bank's report, this figure grew by 28.1% against Jan-Aug 2025.

Of the overall payments, 568.4 million manats were paid for life insurance (33.1% more than a year ago), including 565.6 million manats for voluntary life insurance and 2.8 million manats for compulsory life insurance.

As for non-life insurance types, payments increased by 16.2% up to 204.8 million manats, including 97 million manats accounted for voluntary types of insurance and 107.8 million manats for compulsory types of insurance.
