September 24, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 2026 Azerbaijan introduced unilateral visa-free entry and exit regime for 1-year period for holders of general-purpose passports of 9 countries and territories.

Under the new rules, citizens of China's special administrative regions Hong Kong and Macao (from February 2), Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait (from February 15), Japan and the Republic of Korea (from July 1), as well as Singapore and Bosnia & Herzegovina (from August 1) can stay in the country until 30 days at a time, entering the country without a visa 3 times during the year.

Along with this, Azerbaijan has also signed agreements with the Dominican Republic and Colombia on the mutual exemption of holders of ordinary passports from visa requirements.

These agreements will enter into force after the completion of the relevant official procedures and the exchange of notes.
