September 21, Fineko/abc.az. The declaration of some goods transported through customs will now be carried out in a simpler form.

The decision signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov amended the Rules for declaring goods and vehicles transported across the customs border. According to the innovation, the "red channel" checkpoint system will allow for the submission of a simplified declaration for goods. This declaration can be submitted either in writing on paper or in e-form.

The change also applies to certain goods carried by individuals in their personal baggage. A simplified declaration will be submitted when moving goods in hand luggage and accompanied baggage that are not intended for production or commercial purposes, but are subject to declaration in writing.
