August 21, Fineko/abc.az. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree approving the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Turkmenistan on Cooperation in the Field of Energy."

Under the decree, the agreement signed in Baku on June 22, 2026, has been officially ratified. Following its entry into force, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan will ensure the implementation of its provisions.

Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to notify the Government of Turkmenistan on the completion of internal state procedures required for the agreement to take effect.
