August 17, Fineko/abc.az. Iran and Tajikistan have agreed on a framework for a long-term cooperation agreement covering the export of Iranian petroleum products and the supply of crude oil to Tajik refineries.

Speaking to Iranian state television, Petroleum Minister Mohsen Paknejad stated that the agreement aims to meet Tajikistan's fuel requirements using Iran's surplus refined products while supplying crude oil to support Tajik refining operations. The partnership spans multiple stages of the oil sector, from refined fuel trade to crude supply.

A joint expert committee will be formed to evaluate technical and logistical arrangements, paving the way for a substantial increase in bilateral trade volume.
