August 5, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani Minister of Digital Development & Transport Rashad Nabiyev held a meeting with deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan Assel Zhanasova.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in the field of transport, logistics and digital infrastructure. Special attention was paid to increasing the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor, strengthening the port infrastructure, simplifying road freight transportation and implementing a new ferry project.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD) points out that development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route opens up wide opportunities for strengthening trade between Europe and Asia, contributing to transformation of the region into a key logistics hub of Eurasia.
