July 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan produced 8,831.3 tons of copper concentrate for Jan-Jun 2026 (a rise of 7.4-fold, or 642.9%, against Jan-Jun 2025), the State Statistics Committee informs.
In addition, there was a drop on production of precious metals. The country extracted 1,316.5 kg of gold (17.8% less versus Jan-Jun 2025). The production of silver was 1,808.2 kg (6.9% less).
As of July 1, 2026, industrial enterprises had stocks of 1,632.1 tons of copper concentrate, 168.8 kg of gold, and 534.1 kg of silver.
Meanwhile, Anglo Asian Mining, a British company engaged in gold, copper, and silver mining in Azerbaijan, announced that it had increased its copper production by 7.8 times in the 2nd quarter against the 2025 same term, reaching 5,129 tons. The company attributed this mainly to expansion of production at Demirli deposit. In the first 6 months, copper production grew 7.4-fold, reaching 8,840 tons. Gold production increased by 1.8% and silver production by 48.9%. In the 1st half of the year, the company sold 58,577 dry metric tons of copper concentrate, generating revenue of $125.9 million. By the end of June, cash had increased to $69.8 million, debt had decreased to $12.2 million, and the net cash position was $57.6 million.
Anglo Asian Mining reported that it expects to reach full production capacity at Demirli deposit in the 3rd quarter of 2026. The company has left its annual forecast unchanged and expects to produce 20,000-25,000 tons of copper, 28,000-33,000 ounces of gold, and 170,000-210,000 ounces of silver.
