July 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and the International Monetary Fund discussed the reforms underway in the country in the field of tax policy and tax administration.

The Ministry of Economy informs that discussions took place during a meeting of Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli with the head of the IMF mission in Azerbaijan, Anna Bordon.

The parties exchanged views on economic forecasts for the current and medium-term period, structural reforms, measures being taken to diversify Azerbaijan's economy, and other issues of mutual interest.

Information was provided on expansion of state support mechanisms and introduction of new tools for development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, on investment policies in the non-oil/gas sector, and on the opportunities for partnership with international financial organizations.
