June 23, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2026, the export of primary form polyethylene from Azerbaijan increased significantly.

ABC.AZ informs that the country exported 40,590 tons of polyethylene for $42.53 million (Jan-Apr 2025 - 24,790 tons for $29.87 million).

ABC.AZ informs that polyethylene exports observed growth by 63.7% year-on-year and export revenues grew by 42.4%.

According to calculations, the average price of exported polyethylene in the first 4 months of 2026 was $1,047 per ton. A year earlier, this figure was $1,205. As a result, the average export price decreased by 13.1%.

For Jan-Apr 2026, Russia became the largest market for Azerbaijani polyethylene. Our country supplied 24,400 tons of products to RUssia (nearly 60% of overall export), 8,910 tons to Turkey, 4,580 tons to Ukraine, and 1,560 tons to Kazakhstan.
