June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2026, the retail chain sold goods for 25.5 bn manats to consumers, including food, beverages and tobacco products for 14.15 bn manats and non-food products for 11.358 bn.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that compared with Jan–May 2025, retail trade increased by 3.8% in real terms, including food, beverages and tobacco products by 1.5% and non-food products by 6.7%.

Over Jan-May 2026, 50.9% of customer spending in the retail chain accounted for food products, 4.6% for beverages and tobacco products, 12.8% for textiles, clothing and footwear, 6.4% for automobile fuel, 4.4% for electrical goods and furniture, 2.9% for pharmaceutical products and medical supplies, 1.5% for computers, telecommunications equipment and printed products, 16.5% for other non-food products.

The retail chain made an average of 496.9 manats of purchases per person per month, including 275.7 manats for food, beverages and tobacco products and 221.2 manats for non-food products.
