June 16, Fineko/abc.az. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced at the G7 summit a new package of energy sanctions against Russia and an agreement on the supply of fuel for Ukrainian nuclear power plants for the next two years.

ABC.AZ informs that the restrictions are directed against the Russian "shadow fleet", financial schemes to circumvent sanctions and ships carrying sanctioned LNG. London will also allocate 210 million pounds to support the supply of enriched uranium to Ukraine through Urenco.

Starmer said the measures are designed to limit Russia's revenues and strengthen the energy security of Ukraine and Europe.
