April 13, Fineko/abc.az.Over Jan-Mar 2026, goods for 15.927 bn manats were sold to consumers in Azerbaijan's retail network, including foods, beverages and tobacco products for 8.774 bn manats and non-foods for 7.152 bn manats.
ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that compared with Jan-Mar 2025, retail trade turnover increased by 3.7% in real terms, including foods, beverages and tobacco products by 1.3% and non-foods by 6.6%.
Out of customer spending for Jan-Mar 2026 on goods purchased in the retail chain, 50.4% accounted for foods, 4.7% for beverages and tobacco products, 14.6% for textiles, clothing and footwear, 6% for gasoline and diesel fuel, 4.5% for electrical goods and furniture, 2.7% for pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, 1.6% for computers, telecommunications equipment and printed products, 15.5% for other non-food products.
One customer carried out spending for an average of 517.2 manats per month in the retail chain, including foods, beverages and tobacco products for 284.9 manats and non-food products for 232.3 manats.
