Porsche Sells Software Firm MHP to India's Tech Giant TCS

10:44 - 25.08.2026

August 25, Fineko/abc.az. German luxury sports car manufacturer Porsche has announced the sale of its entire stake in management and IT consultancy firm MHP to India-based technology service provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The purchase agreement between the two companies has been signed, with the transaction expected to close in the coming months. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This strategic divestment aligns with Porsche's "Sportwagenschmiede35" future strategy, enabling the carmaker to focus entirely on its core automotive business. As part of this restructuring, Porsche previously exited battery manufacturing, certain software operations, and its electric bike (e-bike) business.

Alongside the share transfer, Porsche and TCS plan to establish a long-term strategic partnership in digital solutions and artificial intelligence. Headquartered in Ludwigsburg with a workforce of over 4,500 employees, MHP will maintain its corporate identity as an independent brand and consultancy under the Tata Group while continuing to serve as a critical digitalization partner for Porsche.
