February 17, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, the determining factor for butter prices in Azerbaijan was the increase in prices in the countries that are the main suppliers. The average import price of 1 ton of butter in Azerbaijan, without rounding, increased from $5,690 up to $7,220, with annual rise of 26.91%.
ABC.AZ informs that Azerbaijan imported 20,130 tons of butter for $145.31 million. Compared with 2024, imports declined from 24,510 tons to 20,130 tons (-18%). Despite this, the total value of imports grew from $139.51 million up to $145.31 million (a rise of 4%).
Iran remains the main supplier. Imports from this country decreased from 14,230 tons to 8,620 tons (-39%), and the cost from $69.25 million to $50.97 million. The average price increased from $4,870 up to $5,910 per ton (+21.34%).
Imports from New Zealand dropped from 5,330 tons to 4,270 tons (-19.96%). The cost fell from $35.55 million to $33.98 million. The average price per ton grew from $6,660 up to $7,960 (+19.59%).
At the same time, deliveries from Belarus increased from 1,110 tons up to 1,450 tons (+30.54%). The cost of imports grew from $7.7 million up to $11.45 million (+48.77%). The average price increased from $6,920 up to $7,880 per ton (+13.87%).
