August 19, Fineko/abc.az. U.S. cosmetics and skincare giant Estée Lauder forecast annual profits above Wall Street estimates, sending its shares soaring 18%. Despite absorbing a $102 million gross impact from tariffs, strong demand for luxury fragrances like Le Labo and Tom Ford propelled fourth-quarter results beyond expectations.
The turnaround strategy under CEO Stephane de La Faverie was further bolstered by $38 million in tariff refunds and projected organic sales growth in China. The company now plans to apply its successful fragrance playbook to revitalize its makeup and hair care divisions.
