January 5, Fineko/abc.az. The value of the first two cryptocurrencies by capitalization - bitcoin and ethereum (ether, ETH) is showing growth.

ABC.AZ reports that this is evidenced by data from the Binance platform.

As of 07:34 (Baku time), bitcoin was growing by 2.08% and was at the level of $93,032. Ethereum exchange rate grew by 1.57%, to $3,192.

According to Coinmarketcap on January 5, capitalization of the entire cryptocurrency market was $3.17 trillion. Of them, $1.856 trillion (58.7%) accounted for bitcoin and $384.805 billion (12.2%) for Ethereum.

It follows from the data of the Coinglass platform that world's crypto exchanges liquidated the positions of more than 92,000 traders worth $251.79 million per day. Most of the liquidations occurred in bitcoin. Approx. $49.83 million of liquidations accounted for long positions and $202.01 million for short positions. The largest liquidation order in the last 24 hours was filed at the Binance crypto exchange in an ETHUSDT pair worth $3.27 million.
