Arabica has risen in price up to $4.10 after drop in Brazilian coffee stocks

15:55 - 21.10.2025

October 21, Fineko/abc.az. Arabica coffee quotes at the New York Stock Exchange have increased by 3.2% up to $4.10 per pound, amid a sharp decline in Brazilian arabica stocks to a five-year low at the Intercontinental Exchange warehouses.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the Exchange, stocks of coffee from Brazil fell by 20% to just 26,896 bags, the lowest since October 2020.

According to Bloomberg, additional pressure on the market was exerted by the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump to impose a 50% duty on Brazilian coffee imports - American traders are refraining from concluding new contracts.

The surge in Arabica futures prices is caused by historically low Brazilian coffee stocks and increases volatility in the commodity market.
