September 17, Fineko/abc.az. The owner of the bitcoin wallet, who remains anonymous, has moved 1,000 BTC for the first time since 2014, which at the time of the transaction amounts to approx. $115.9 million.

ABC.AZ informs that the transfers were made on the night of September 17 in three separate transactions. According to the blockchain, the asset was purchased in January 2014 at weighted average price of approx. $840 per BTC, when the total value of the amount did not exceed $836,000. Thus, in 11 years, the market value of these coins has increased more than 130-fold.

This transaction is associated with the so-called "bitcoin whales" - large holders of the asset who invested significant amounts in the cryptocurrency in the early years of its existence and retained assets for long-term period. The movement of long-term "old" bitcoins is an indicator of the activity of major market players.
