September 17, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of this year, turnover of mutual tourism services in Azerbaijan increased by 2.1% compared with Jan-Jun 2024 to $1.7 billion.

ABC.AZ reports, citing data from the Central Bank, that surplus of $194.3 million arose as a result of the fact that during the reported period, exports of tourism services ($946.4 million) exceeded imports ($752.1 million).

During this period, the number of Azerbaijani citizens who went abroad decreased by 0.7%, and the number of foreign citizens who arrived in Azerbaijan decreased by 1.1%.

77.4% of the cost of tourism-relating services rendered to Azerbaijani residents of foreign countries related to personal trips of Azerbaijani citizens.

Over Jan-Jun 2025, construction services rendered to non-residents in the non-oil/gas sector decreased 5.6-fold (1 year ago - $11.1 million) and amounted to $2 million. The volume of other business services provided to non-residents in the non-oil/gas sector grew by 32.7% up to $1.1 billion.
