August 26, Fineko/abc.az. Iran plans to raise its exports of engineering and technical services to $4.5 billion within a year, by spring 2026, according to the country’s Trade Promotion Organization.
As reported by ABC.AZ, the organization noted that over the past 30 years, Iran has become competitive in the global engineering services market, holding its own against companies from the U.S., China, Germany, and other countries. Much of this progress has been achieved thanks to government support for companies in the sector.
It was also noted that Iran mainly targets neighboring countries, since industrial equipment often requires temporary permits. Iranian companies intend to expand their engineering activities in CIS countries, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq.
