July 1, Fineko/abc.az. The strategic partnership architecture between the European Union and Azerbaijan continues to reinforce its multi-sectoral parameters on both regional and global stages.
According to ABC.AZ, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen delivered these remarks during a joint press brief alongside President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Appraising Baku's geopolitical weight, the EU Commission Chief noted: "Your country is one of the rare countries that can drive regional stability and development."
Underscoring that Azerbaijan is consistently expanding its strategic importance and regional influence, von der Leyen outlined the primary operational pillars of the alliance, stating that the energy matrix remains a fundamental anchor of the Brussels-Baku partnership and recently Azerbaijan has fully proven to be a reliable partner for the European Union.
The European Commission President further noted that beyond energy resources, Azerbaijan and the EU are currently engaged in a high-level active dialogue focused on connectivity, cross-border logistics, and the expansion of regional transport corridors.
