July 1, Fineko/abc.az. The bilateral trade architecture and strategic integration vectors between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) continue to scale high dynamics.
According to ABC.AZ, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev delivered these key points during a joint press brief alongside the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
The Head of State reaffirmed Baku's comprehensive commitment to institutional engagement with Brussels, noting: "Today we are witnessing a very active, dynamic dialogue between the European Union and Azerbaijan. We attach great importance to our cooperation with the European Commission."
Highlighting the structural trade dominance of Azerbaijan within the regional layout, the Head of State shared pivotal statistics, stating that while the European Union remains Azerbaijan’s foremost global trading partner, Azerbaijan concurrently serves as the anchor trading partner for the EU within the South Caucasus perimeter.
The President explicitly emphasized that more than 70 percent of the European Union's aggregate trade turnover with the entire South Caucasus region is heavily driven by and concentrated in Azerbaijan.
