August 8, Fineko/abc.az. U.S. President Donald Trump has named Stephen Miran as the head of the Federal Reserve System (FRS).
Stephen Miran will hold this position until January 31, 2026. Previously, he served as chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
Miran's confirmation as a member of the Federal Reserve is required by the U.S. Senate.
The Fed declined to comment on the new appointment. Currently, the post of head of the department is headed by Jerome Powell.
