July 21, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) placed a short-term deposit of 340.34 million manats in First Abu Dhabi Bank, owned by the UAE.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to SOFAZ’s financial report, that the amount of the short-term deposit placed by the organization in the Japanese Mizuho Bank last year reached 2.04 million manats (19.9% more against the previous year).

As of January 1, 2025, SOFAZ's term deposits totaled 11.69 million manats (162.65-fold less than on January 1, 2024). The sharp decline is linked wiht expiration of a deposit of 1.893 billion deposited with the Central Bank of Turkey. By the end of 2024, the accumulated interest totaled 512,000 manats.
