Rahmon: Tajikistan displays an interest to increase trade turnover with ECO member states

July 4, Fineko/abc.az. Tajikistan is interested in increasing trade turnover with member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

ABC.AZ reports that President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon stated about this at the 17th ECO Summit held in Khankendi.

According to Rahmon, trade and economic cooperation with the countries of the region is one of the main directions of Tajikistan's foreign policy: "Development of cooperation in areas such as trade, finance, energy, industry, and agriculture is the first condition for the development of the region. In 2024, the share of ECO member countries in Tajikistan's trade turnover was 33%. This means an increase of 18% compared to 2023 figures. Tajikistan is interested in increasing trade turnover with ECO member countries."
