Prices of cotton yarn sold abroad have fallen

December 19, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Nov 2024, Azerbaijan exported 10,918 tons of cotton yarn for $26.99 million.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee that exports of cotton yarn decreased by $3.382 million or 11.6% in value terms against the 2023 same term, and grew by 90 tons or 0.8% in quantitative terms.

In 11 months of 2023, our country exported 10,828 tons of cotton yarn for $30.374 million.
The average export price of 1 kg of cotton yarn exported by Azerbaijan was 4.20 manats for Jan-Nov 2024 and 4.76 manats for Jan-Nov 2023 (a drop of 0.56 manats or 11.8% year-on-year).

This year, cotton yarn accounted for 0.11% of total exports, while the non-oil sector - about 0.87%.
