October 15, Fineko/abc.az. In the next phase of existing projects in Azerbaijan, it is planned to invest more than 1 billion manats ($580 million) in industrial zones and create over 8,400 new jobs.

ABC.AZ reports that Elchin Kazimov, spokesman of the Economic Zones Development Agency (under the Economy Ministry), made this statement at the 4th Azerbaijan International Exhibition on Restoration, Reconstruction and Development of Karabakh (Rebuild Karabakh) held within the Caspian Construction Week.

He added that 153 business entities have been granted resident status in industrial zones: "To date, entrepreneurs have invested more than 6.8 billion manats ($4 billion) in industrial zones. More than 10,500 permanent jobs have been created."
