July 17, Fineko/abc.az. 40 business entities with total investment volume of 6.2 billion manats received resident status in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP), the largest industrial park in the South Caucasus.

ABC.AZ reports that Kamran Rahimli, the department head of the Economic Zones Development Agency, made this statement to journalists this during a media tour to the industrial park.

He added that more than 5.5 billion manats have been invested in SCIP so far, and about 6,800 permanent jobs created.

Rahimli noted that according to the projects, it is planned to additionally invest 554 million manats in SCIP and create more than 2,200 jobs.

Rahimli stressed that in the 1st half of this year, products for 1.3 billion manats were produced in SCIP, and products for 455 million manats were exported.
