January 27, Fineko/abc.az. The total amount of loans given by credit organizations (banks, NBCOS, credit unions) in Azerbaijan as of 31 December 2020 amounted to AZN 14.5 bn (a decrease of 5% in 2019).

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Central Bank, 29.8% of loans were given in foreign currency (the lowest level of dollarization of deposits since January 2015).

The highest level of dollarization of loans was recorded in January 2016 (51.9%).

At the end of 2020 the problem loans amounted to AZN 893.1 million (26.8% of them were given in foreign currency).
