Tea import in Azerbaijan exceeded its export 10-fold

December 29, Fineko/abc.az. The State Customs Committee has published tea export and import for the past 11 months of this year.

ABC.AZ reports that the country imported 12,264.34 tons of tea for $49.6 million.

Compared with the same period of 2019, the cost of tea import increased by 1.3%, while the import volume lowered by 2.2%.

The share of tea in total imports for the reporting period was 0.51%.

Thus, for the past 11 months of this year Azerbaijan’s tea import exceeded its export by 10 times.
