Drilling of first exploration well to start on Shafag-Asiman block

November 6, Fineko/abc.az. The planning of the first exploration well on Shafag-Asiman block located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea is ongoing. The beginning of drilling operations is scheduled for the end of 2019.

The planning of work on drilling of exploration wells continues on three promising sites selected in the territory of the sharing production agreement in the shallow part of the Absheron Peninsula. Work on the drilling of the first well is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2020.
