April 11, Fineko/abc.az. Yesterday, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov received Natalya Tamiris, the new head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance reports that mission’s ex-head Mohammed al-Gorchi also took part in the meeting.

"During the introductory meeting the parties covered the current state of technical cooperation between the country and the organization, prospects for their development and plans for further promotion. The minister wished Ms. Tamiris good luck in her future activity and expressed a hope in deepening the existing high relationships between Azerbaijan and the IMF," the MoF said in a statement.
