September 25, Fineko/abc.az. Over 60,000 tons of cargo were transported through Azerbaijan to and from Armenia in total during the year.

Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov made this statement at the panel "The Middle Corridor: Unlocking the Potential of Trade, Industry and Relations", held within the 2nd International Investment Forum.

He recalled that Azerbaijan has also supplied more than 20,000 tons of petroleum products to Armenia: "Currently, the two countries continue to work towards increasing bilateral trade. Now one of the important components is the TRIPP route, which, being a multimodal transit route, is already turning from an idea into a reality. Now we are making this dream come true. We have made significant progress in the development of the Zangezur Corridor. 95 percent of the highway and 75 percent of the railway have already been built, and both are expected to be fully completed in the first half of next year. Engineering services are already being provided in Armenia."
