September 15, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2026, despite a slight decrease on Azerbaijan’s tomato exports to foreign countries, a noticeable increase was recorded on the income received.

According to the State Customs Committee, 143,19 tons of tomatoes were sold abroad (0.7% less against Jan-Aug 2025 - 143,995 tons).

Despite this, export revenues grew by 10%, from $157.15 million up to $172.22 million.

The main reason for the profit growth was a rise in the average cost of 1 kg of exported tomatoes from $1.09 last year to $1.20 (approx. 2.05 manats).
