September 16, Fineko/abc.az. Development of transport links with Azerbaijan is one of the main priorities for Kyrgyzstan as a landlocked country.
Timur Abylayev, deputy director of the National Institute for Strategic Initiatives under the President of Kyrgyzstan, made the above-said statement at the conference of the analytical centers of the Organization of Turkic States in Baku.
Stressing that road transport in Central Asia is developing rapidly, the official representative noted that active work is underway with Azerbaijan to enter foreign markets, which enhances region's role as an economic bridge between Asia and Europe.
Kyrgyzstan is introducing digital solutions at border checkpoints, such as electronic queues and smart controls. Having demonstrated EAEU’s experience in the field of navigation seals and digital tracking, Abylayev noted that the main goal for the CIS countries is not so much the creation of a single platform as integration of national systems and digitalization of data exchange.
