September 14, Fineko/abc.az. Chipmaker Nvidia is in discussions to become a primary anchor investor in Anthropic’s upcoming initial public offering (IPO). According to sources familiar with the matter, AI startup Anthropic aims to raise up to $100 billion at a target valuation of roughly $2 trillion. As part of the potentially record-breaking listing, Nvidia is considering committing up to $10 billion.

The transaction would provide Anthropic with early anchor support while deepening the operational ties between the chipmaker and one of its largest compute clients. Although discussions remain private and subject to change, the participation of a major institutional backer like Nvidia is expected to significantly bolster market confidence in the capital demands of frontier AI infrastructure.
