September 15, Fineko/abc.az. Precious metals became the main driver of a sharp increase in Azerbaijan's non-oil exports in the first 8 months of 2026.,

According to State Customs Committee’s broad classification, non-oil exports observed 2.6-fold growth up to $6.28 billion.

In this category, exports of group of precious stones and metals increased 17.6-fold, rising from $212.8 million last year up to $3.74 billion.

The entire volume of exported precious metals was raw and semi-processed gold. Gold alone made up 17.1% of country's overall exports and 59.6% of non-oil exports.
