September 15, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2026, the positive balance of payments of Azerbaijan's foreign trade increased sharply up to $10.39 billion (Jan-Aug 2025 - $2.01 billion), the State Customs Committee reports.

The foreign trade turnover grew by 3.5% up to $33.24 billion. The main cause of 5.2-fold expansion of trade surplus is a 27.8% rise in exports up to $21.82 billion, as well as a 24.1% drop in imports to $11.42 billion.
