Inflation falls to 5.7%, but forecast for end of year raised

September 10, Fineko/abc.az. Annual inflation in Azerbaijan decreased by 0.1 percentage points to 5.7% in August.

During this period, food prices rose by 7.2%, non-food products by 3.7%, and paid services by 5%.

Although the annual rate declined, the Central Bank raised its inflation forecast for the end of 2026 from 5.9% to 6.1%, and for 2027 to 5.8%, taking into account factors of expenditures of foreign origin.

Nevertheless, current inflation remains within CBA's target range of 2%-6%.
