Tajikistan Plans to Purchase 2.55 Million Tonnes of Fuel from Iran

August 19, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan, the country plans to import 2.55 million tonnes of fuel from Iran. The supply package includes 2 million tonnes of crude oil, 150,000 tonnes of gasoline, 300,000 tonnes of diesel, and 100,000 tonnes of aviation kerosene.

Transporting this volume will require 51,000 railcars. Tajikistan has also requested assistance from Iranian authorities regarding logistics and the simplification of fuel delivery procedures.

The republic continues to expand cooperation in the energy sector to diversify its fuel procurement routes.
