July 31, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2026, Azerbaijan's strategic foreign exchange reserves increased by $700 million or 0.8%.

Central Bank of Azerbaijan’s chairman Taleh Kazimov stated this at a press conference on the parameters of the interest corridor.

He noted that our country's foreign exchange reserves totaled $85.7 bn for Jan-Jun 2026.

"Based on the balance of payments statistics, strategic foreign exchange reserves are sufficient to cover 40 months of imports of goods and services," he emphasized.
