July 29, Fineko/abc.az. As of June 30, 2026, the total assets of 22 banks operating in Azerbaijan reached 60.9 bn manats, overall liabilities - 53.294 bn manats, and balance sheet capital - 7.645 bn manats, according to the Central Bank.

In June, the assets of banks increased by 3%, liabilities by 3.3%, and the balance sheet capital by 1%.

Banking sector's loan portfolio observe dgrowth by 935.5 million manats, or 3%, up to 31.82 bn manats. Of the loan portfolio, 17.179 bn manats, or 54%, accounted for business loans, 9.917 bn manats, or 31.2%, for consumer loans, and 4.724 bn manats, or 14.8%, for mortgage loans.
