Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan's problem loans observed growth by 83%

July 14, Fineko/abc.az. Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan ended the first half of 2026 with net profit of 11.59 million manats (14.4% more versus Jan-Jun 2025), according to bank's financial statements.

For Jan-Jun 2026, bank's operating income amounted to 68.886 million manats (a rise of 53.8%). Operating expenses increased by 50.7% up to 43.485 million manats. Special reserves grew 3.15-fold up to 10.927 million manats. Unforeseen income reached 42,000 manats (42-fold more than a year earlier). Income tax expenses increased by 26.1%, up to 2.924 million manats.

As of July 1, 2026, Ziraat Bank Azerbaijan's assets totaled 1.559 billion manats (46% more versus Jan-Jun 2025). Of them, 810.7 million manats accounted for the net loan portfolio. The volume of loans given to customers grew by 32%.

At that, the volume of overdue loans increased by 83.1% up to 117.634 million manats.

Bank's liabilities increased by 50% up to 1.386 billion manats. The deposit portfolio grew by 52.9% up to 866.6 million manats and the equity capital by 20.4% up to 173.895 million manats.
